About e-Swabhimani Awards
The e-Swabhimani initiative, led by the Information Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka, aims to recognize outstanding achievements among the community of digital application creators. This national award is expected to increase interest in the development of various content and services that can benefit society. Since its launch in 2009, the e-Swabhimani Awards have highlighted the best local talents and encouraged Sri Lankan developers to reach new heights. The initiative is dedicated to promoting innovative and creative ICT-based products and services from local developers by providing a platform to showcase their digital applications in the local market as well as internationally.
Fcode Labs Snags Two e-Swabhimani Awards
Fcode Labs - one of Sri Lanka's leading software and digital solution providers, received double awards at the annual e-Swabhimani Awards held in Colombo on 07th March 2023. Flingo - the innovative drawing application won one award, while Carrom Bot – the automated smart carrom-playing robot won the other, both representing the category of Digital Entertainment.
Flingo – A Drawing App with an Integrated Chat Feature
Flingo by Fcode Labs helps users draw what they have on their mind, on the screen. The application makes chatting with friends customized experience, with its special GIF and emoticon maker function that animates the sketches that are being drawn. Apart from an intuitive interface to sketch, Flingo also offers image and text message options as well as a group chat function.
Carom Bot – An AI-based Autonomous Carrom Robot
The objective of this project was to create an independent robot that can play carrom, which is a popular indoor game in South Asia, by analyzing the board configuration through vision feed and image processing. To execute strategic gameplay, the robot employs reinforcement learning, which is a form of machine learning. This inventive robot is evidence of Fcode Labs’ expertise in advanced machine learning techniques.
