The sun had set on the University fields, but the excitement was only just beginning. The "FIT SIXES 2K24" cricket tournament, hosted by the Students’ Union of the Faculty of Information Technology, kicked off at 9:00 PM on a crisp evening, bringing together industry professionals, current students, and alumni for a night of friendly competition and camaraderie.

Our team, comprising Sithum Vihanga, Sudarshan Sumathipala, Thanuja Maheepala, Tharik Rizan, Thusara Wanigathunga, Thushan De Silva, and Pamaljith Harshapriya, put up a valiant fight against Team Geveo in the first round. Despite the outcome, their enthusiasm and teamwork were truly commendable.

The "FIT SIXES 2K24" tournament aims to provide a platform for students and IT professionals to come together, share their passion for cricket, and foster a culture of friendly competition. This annual event has grown to become a highly anticipated occasion, promoting networking and goodwill among attendees.

Throughout the game, our team's commitment and cooperation were evident, regardless of the result. The cheer leading team, comprising additional staff members, added to the electric atmosphere with their energetic clapping and chants.
