In June, Fcode Labs organized 'Color Break', a fun drawing competition to give everyone a break from coding and bring back those nostalgic childhood memories. Held on a Friday evening after work, the event brought together about 25 participants for a portrait coloring session.

A Creative Twist: Drawing Your Colleague
Adding an exciting twist to the session, participants were tasked with creating portraits of randomly selected colleagues. This unique challenge led to a mix of:

Hilarious Interpretations: Some portraits evoked roars of laughter as teammates saw their quirky likenesses brought to life.
Artistic Excellence: Others showcased genuine artistic talent, surprising everyone with their detail and creativity.
The lively atmosphere was filled with chatter, laughter, and the sound of pencils and markers bringing ideas to life.

Celebrating Talent and Humor
At the end of the session, two standout drawings stole the show:

Best Drawing: Buddhi Vikasitha impressed everyone with a portrait that captured exceptional detail and artistry.
Funniest Portrait: Shaluka Pathirana’s work had the entire room in stitches, earning a well-deserved win for its humor and creativity.
Both winners received enthusiastic applause, and their artworks now serve as cherished memories of a fantastic event.

Why 'Color Break' Matters
'Color Break' was more than just a drawing competition—it was an opportunity to:

Unwind: A refreshing change from the fast-paced world of software development.
Bond: Strengthen relationships through laughter and shared creativity.
Rediscover Creativity: Remind everyone of the joy of expressing themselves through art.

Events like 'Color Break' are a testament to Fcode Labs’ commitment to fostering a work culture that values fun, creativity, and connection. These moments help us recharge, bond, and create memories that go beyond the workplace.

We’re already buzzing with excitement for our next team-building event. Until then, the colorful memories of 'Color Break' will continue to bring smiles to our faces.
